Patrick McGrath

Pat McGrath holds the distinction of being the only Grand Blanc High School graduate to argue cases before the United States Supreme Court. After graduating in 1960, he earned a JD degree from Ohio State University and was admitted to the Ohio bar. After a distinguished career as an attorney for the City of Columbus, McGrath was elected to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in 1988. In 2004, McGrath was elected to the Tenth District Court of Appeals where he served until 2011. He ended his career as a visiting judge, including service with the Ohio Supreme Court and Ohio Court of Claims.
